Our Sicily programs are built around the northern coast, and for good reason. Cefalu is one of the most beautiful small towns in Italy, a medieval fishing port with a Norman cathedral and a long sandy beach, while the stretch around Palermo adds resorts, coves and easy access to the capital's markets and street food. All packages below fly from Belgrade, and every price is the package price for two people. The full offer for Sicily is on our site; here are the six hotels we actually put our guests in.
Cefalu Sea Palace, Cefalu
The flagship. Cefalu Sea Palace is a modern five star hotel that sits across the street from the town beach, about 30 m and one road crossing from the sand, and five minutes on foot from Cefalu's old center. Guests get chairs and a parasol on the beach, and the 75 rooms include superior rooms with side sea view and club rooms, all with balcony, safe and minibar. You are close enough to walk to dinner under the cathedral every evening. Palermo airport is 90 km away. From 2690 euros for two people.
Dolcestate, Campofelice di Roccella
The most affordable entry, and a lovely one. Hotel Dolcestate is built in typical Mediterranean style and wrapped in greenery on one of the prettiest parts of this coast, between the ruins of the ancient town of Himera and the Madonie national park. The private beach with loungers and parasols for guests is about 300 m away, Cefalu is 14 km down the coast and the airport 72 km. Standard rooms come with balcony. A quiet base for people who want sea, garden and day trips. From 1600 euros for two people.
Santa Lucia E Le Sabbie D'Oro, Cefalu
A large, classic resort at the entrance to Cefalu, 2 km from the old town, perched on a rise above a beautiful sandy beach reached by about 100 steps. Santa Lucia E Le Sabbie D'Oro has 256 spacious rooms across three connected buildings, a private beach with loungers and parasols 500 to 700 m away, and a local bus stop 50 m from the door that runs into town. Good for guests who want resort space with the town within reach. From 1790 euros for two people.
Artemis, Cefalu
The town hotel. Hotel Artemis occupies a former monastery from the 1950s right next to Cefalu's center, 200 m from the town beach and 300 m from the railway station, from which a train reaches Palermo in an hour. That last detail matters: you can do the capital as a cheap, easy day trip without a transfer. The modern standard and classic rooms have safe, mini fridge and Wi-Fi, and most of daily life happens on foot. From 1870 euros for two people.
Domina Zagarella, Santa Flavia
On the Palermo side of the coast, Domina Zagarella is a modern resort in the Santa Flavia area near the fishing village of Porticello, set on a rocky shore with a sandy beach 400 m away. With 340 rooms it is the biggest hotel in this guide, and the family rooms of about 25 square meters make it the natural choice for parents. Palermo is 30 km away, the airport 50 km. From 1840 euros for two people.
Voi Florio Resort, Cinisi
The closest to the airport, only about 10 km away, which makes arrival day painless. Voi Florio Resort stands on a rise in Cinisi in the northwest of the island, with the beach some 100 m below the main facilities, reached through the hotel garden by paths and stairs. Its 187 rooms are spread between the main building and garden annexes. The town of Cinisi is 2 km away and the resort town of Terrasini 3 km. From 2150 euros for two people.
One honest tip
If this is your first Sicily, stay in or right by Cefalu, the evenings in the old town are the memory you will keep. If you have done Cefalu already, take Dolcestate or Domina Zagarella and spend the saved money on a rented car and the road to the Madonie hills.
