Top Hotels on Rhodes: Where to Stay Between Kallithea, Faliraki and the Old Town

Rhodes has a rare balance for a Greek island: a UNESCO listed medieval old town, an east coast lined with organised beaches, and enough sunny days that locals joke the sun never really leaves. Most of the hotels we sell are concentrated on the stretch between Rhodes Town, Kallithea and Faliraki, which means short airport transfers and easy evening trips to the old town. Charter flights from Belgrade land you on the island in about ninety minutes. For a broader picture of the island see our Rhodes destination page, and here are six hotels from our offer that guests return to year after year.

Rodos Palladium, Kallithea

Rodos Palladium is a large luxury resort spread over 30,000 square metres, with a six floor main building, sea view wings and a low building with executive rooms and suites with private pools. It sits on a 400 metre Blue Flag beach of sand and fine pebbles where sunbeds and umbrellas are free. Faliraki is 3 km away, Rhodes Town about 8 km and the airport 15 km, so nothing is far. With 377 rooms it never feels cramped thanks to the sheer space. Packages start from 3010 euros for two people.

Kresten Royal Euphoria Resort, Kallithea

Kresten Royal Euphoria Resort covers a remarkable 150,000 square metres on the east coast, on a beach that is partly sand and partly rock, only 6 km from Rhodes Town. The 256 rooms range from garden view doubles of 34 square metres to junior suites with a private pool and sea view, all with balcony or terrace, minibar and WiFi. This is the resort we recommend when guests want space, sea views and a quick taxi ride to town in the evening. Prices go from 2750 euros for two people.

Elysium Resort and Spa, Kallithea

Elysium Resort and Spa is the design lover's pick, three buildings of modern architecture about 2 km from the centre of Kallithea, on a 400 metre sandy Blue Flag beach. Rooms come as Deluxe, Superior and Premium sea view categories of 30 square metres, the Superior ones with a jacuzzi and the Premium ones redesigned in 2024. Faliraki is 4 km away and the airport 14 km. Couples celebrating anniversaries book it most often, and the rooftop restaurant sunsets are a genuine event. Packages start from 3040 euros for two people.

Eden Roc, Kallithea

Eden Roc is a big family resort in Kallithea made up of a main building and bungalows scattered through the grounds, set on a sand and pebble beach where sunbeds and umbrellas cost nothing extra. Rhodes Town is only 4 km away and the airport 18 km. The 356 units include standard rooms of about 22 square metres for two to three people, all with balcony or terrace, fridge and WiFi. Families with children pick it for the bungalow feel and the short distances. Prices start from 2850 euros for two people.

Apollo Blue, Faliraki

Apollo Blue belongs to the Sentido chain and stands on a genuinely beautiful sandy beach in Faliraki, next to its sister hotel Apollo Beach. Built in 2009, it keeps a calm, adult friendly atmosphere despite Faliraki's lively reputation, because it sits away from the noise. The 154 units go from 28 square metre garden or side sea view rooms to 45 square metre Deluxe Junior Suites with direct pool access. Rhodes Town is 14 km away, the airport 19 km. Packages go from 3280 euros for two people.

Atlantis Boutique City Hotel, Rhodes Town

Atlantis Boutique City is the answer for travellers who want the city itself. Renovated in 2023, this modern hotel of 47 rooms sits in the centre of Rhodes Town, about 250 metres from the pebble beach on the western side and within walking distance of the medieval old town and Mandraki harbour. There is also an annex with family rooms available on request. You trade resort grounds for streets full of history and cafes, at a noticeably friendlier price. Packages start from 1660 euros for two people.

How to decide

Kallithea is the sweet spot for beach resorts near the town: Rodos Palladium and Kresten for space, Elysium for design, Eden Roc for families. Apollo Blue suits guests who want Faliraki's sandy beach without its noise, while Atlantis Boutique City is for explorers who plan to walk the old town daily. All prices are for two people with flights from Belgrade included, and we check current availability on request.
